Why companies call us
If two or three of these sound familiar, it is time.
Nobody schedules a modernization project. It gets forced by a bill, an
outage, or someone leaving. These are the moments our clients call.
01
Your cloud bill goes up every month and nobody can explain exactly why.
02
Month-end reporting takes three days, a shared drive and a lot of copy-paste.
03
The system the business runs on was built by someone who left years ago.
04
Two systems disagree about the same customer and nobody knows which is right.
05
You can see what AI could do for you, but every demo assumes you have a data team.
06
Your last IT partner left you with something only they know how to maintain.
Recognise a few? The audit is free and takes half an hour.
Book it
What we do
Six practices. One team that ships.
Most engagements combine two or three of these. You are not buying a
department — you are buying an outcome, and you see the first piece
of it inside two weeks.
01
Artificial Intelligence
Practical AI that earns back its cost, not another pilot that stalls.
Document, invoice and email handling that removes manual data entry
Agents that carry out multi-step tasks in the systems you already run
Assistants grounded in your own content, scored against the manual process they replace
First two weeksA working prototype on a sample of your real data, and the cost per run to operate it.
02
Cloud
Infrastructure sized for your business, with a bill you can predict.
Migration to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud without a weekend outage
Cost review that typically finds spend you are not using
Security baseline, backups and a disaster recovery plan you have tested
First two weeksA costed migration plan and a written review of what is currently exposed.
03
Data Engineering
One version of the truth, so meetings stop arguing about whose number is right.
Pipelines that pull your systems into one warehouse, on a schedule
Definitions agreed once — revenue, churn and margin mean one thing
Dashboards your leadership team actually opens on a Monday
First two weeksOne metric wired end to end, from source system to the dashboard.
04
IT Modernization
Retire the system nobody wants to touch — without a big-bang rewrite.
Honest assessment of what to keep, what to replace and what to leave alone
Incremental replacement, so the business keeps running throughout
Documentation and handover so the next person is not stuck
First two weeksA keep, replace or leave-alone map of every system, with the risks named.
05
Product Development
From an idea on a whiteboard to something your customers or staff can use.
Web and mobile applications, internal tools and customer portals
Integrations between the systems that refuse to talk to each other
Working software released in two-week increments you steer
First two weeksA clickable version of the core flow you can put in front of real users.
06
Professional Services
Senior help by the week, for the stretch where you need more hands than you can hire.
Fractional architect or data lead, without a full-time salary
Vendor and tooling selection, with the trade-offs written down
Coaching for your existing team so capability stays in-house
Every monthAgreed days, a named person to call, and a written review you can act on.
How we work
Three stages. You can stop after any of them.
Open-ended consulting is how technology projects get a bad name. Every
stage here has a defined end, a defined deliverable and a number you
approve in advance.
01
Assess
Week one
A 30-minute call, then a short review of your systems, spend and
pain points. We look at what you run, what it costs and where the
manual work is hiding.
You leave with
A one-page roadmap ranked by effort against impact, a cost breakdown,
and a fixed quote for anything worth doing next.
02
Build
Weeks two onward
We work in two-week increments against the scope you approved. You
see working software at the end of every increment — not a status
report claiming it is 70 percent done.
You leave with
Working systems in your own cloud accounts, source code in your own
repositories, and documentation written for your team.
03
Operate
Ongoing — optional
Some clients take the keys and run. Others keep us on for monitoring,
support and a monthly review. Either is fine; the handover happens
regardless.
You leave with
Monitoring and alerting that works, a named person to call, and a
monthly summary in plain English. Thirty days’ notice, no penalty.
Engagements
Quoted before we start, not after.
Three ways to work together. Whichever one fits, you get the number in
writing before anything starts.
Audit
For when you know something is wrong but not what to fix first.
We do not publish rate cards, because the honest number depends on how many
systems are involved and how much of your data needs untangling first.
Working that out is exactly what the free audit is for — and it is the
same conversation whether the answer turns out to be small or large.
How we operate
The commitments we make on day one.
We are a small firm, which means we compete on how we work rather than
how many people we can put in a room.
No lock-in, ever
Everything runs in your cloud accounts under your billing. Source code lives in your repositories. If you replace us, nothing breaks.
The number does not move
You approve scope and price before work starts. If we find something unexpected, we tell you before it costs you anything.
Plain English, always
Status updates a non-technical owner can read and act on. If you need a glossary to understand our report, we wrote it badly.
The same team throughout
The people who scope your project are the people who deliver it. Nothing gets reassigned to a team you have never met once the contract is signed.
Handover is part of the job
Documentation, runbooks and a training session for your team are included in the price, not sold back to you as an extra.
Small on purpose
We take a limited number of clients at a time. That is why your email reaches the people doing the work, and why we sometimes say the timing is wrong.
Questions
The things owners actually ask.
Something not covered here? Ask it in the form below and you will get
a straight answer, not a discovery call.
Are we too small for this?
Almost certainly not. We work with solo operators and one-person consultancies as readily as with companies running several departments — the work scales down as well as up. A single automation that removes a recurring manual job is a perfectly good engagement.
What we will tell you honestly, in the free audit, is when an off-the-shelf tool would serve you better than anything custom. That answer costs you nothing and saves you a project you did not need.
What does this actually cost?
The audit is free. After it, you get a single fixed number covering the whole scope, in writing, before you commit to anything.
We deliberately do not publish a rate card. Two projects that sound identical in a sentence can differ by an order of magnitude once you look at how many systems are involved and what state the data is in, so any number we printed here would be wrong for most people reading it.
If your budget is smaller than the work needs, we will say so in the audit and point you at the version that does fit.
We do not have a data team. Is AI even realistic for us?
Usually yes, but not in the order most vendors suggest. The useful AI work for a company your size is narrow and boring: reading documents, routing requests, drafting replies, catching anomalies. None of it needs a data science team.
What it does need is your data being reachable and consistent, which is why data engineering is often the first step rather than the last.
Who owns the code and the cloud accounts?
You do, from day one. We work inside your accounts and your repositories rather than ours. There is no proprietary platform in the middle and nothing you have to license from us afterwards.
Is our data safe, and will it be used to train AI models?
Your data stays in your cloud tenancy. Where an AI engagement uses a third-party model provider, we use enterprise endpoints with training on your data switched off, and we document exactly which data leaves your environment and where it goes before anything is connected.
We sign your NDA, and access is scoped to what the work requires and revoked when it ends.
How quickly can you start?
The audit call usually happens within a few days of you getting in touch. Project starts depend on current capacity — we will tell you the real date on the first call rather than promising Monday and meaning next month.
What if it does not work out?
Because work happens in two-week increments, the most you can be wrong by is two weeks. You can stop at the end of any increment and keep everything built so far, in your own accounts, documented. Ongoing retainers end on thirty days’ notice with no penalty.
Get in touch
Tell us what is slowing you down.
A couple of sentences is plenty. We read every message ourselves and
reply within one business day — with an actual answer, not a
calendar link and a brochure.
